IMPRS-LS Workshop

Machine learning

Date: Monday 15th - Wednesday 17th March 2021

Location: Small Lecture Hall, T-building, MPI of Biochemistry

Trainer: Andreas Kist

Description: Intelligent machines are used to be found in science fiction. However, especially recently with the advent of “deep learning”, many tasks that have been doomed impossible are now approachable. In this three days lasting, intense course, we learn the basics of Machine and Deep Learning. We start from linear regression and work our way to convolutional neural networks to classify data and to find region of interests (ROIs) in images. We use the established TensorFlow (from Google) framework and use Keras to interface the TensorFlow backend.
